That is a good point MEB. The blend option can certainly work out well depending on your circumstances. In my case, it might have worked too, but most of what I owed still would have been at the higher rate. Another lender also has been much more helpful, and was offering a lower rate than the one I was with.

Industry Canada has a good personal finance calculator to help you determine if you should break your mortgage. I actually chose not to break my mortgage and did a blend and extend option in order to keep the penalty fee in my pocket.

About Kiyosakis reply to Reed: It Sucks. There is no substance in it whatsoever, and it does not in any way explain why RDPD is a nonfiction book (which should have been his major intention).

Personally, I wouldn’t trust liars. But hey, that’s just me.
